(JUBA, South Sudan): The Nile Youth Development Actions has announced the appointment of representatives for the Arab Republic of Egypt, Engr. Ibrahim Ramadan and the United Republic of Tanzania Mr. Damiani Mkungu, respectively.
A letter dated, June 24th, 2021, signed by the NYDA Executive Director, John Youhanes, nominated two young leaders with vast experiences in youth development to lead the organization in their respective countries. He indicated that the appointment was part of the NYDA’s drive to advance education, entrepreneurship, employment, and inclusive engagement of youth in the Nile Basin countries.
The representatives will coordinate the formation of the country offices to domesticate the vision and mission of the organization among the local communities. Further, to engage on the ongoing NYDA’s projects with partners, on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Youth Inclusion Accelerator Project (AfCFTA-YIAP), the Pan-African Youth Leaders Training Program; Refugees Mentorship and Supervision Program (RMSP), among others.
NYDA a nongovernmental organization with its headquarters in Juba, South Sudan established in 2017 is a grassroots catalyzer focusing on advancing the local socio-economic development in the Nile Basin countries. It’s envisioned an inclusive youth-led development for the present and future generations.
